Remanufactured Crankshafts
Core Policy
Crankshafts must be of the same type as sold and cores must be returned prepaid to EPS’ Remanufacturing Division in Pineville, NC.
Cores must be accompanied by a copy of the invoice or packing slip.
Core credits will be issued within fifteen (15) days of receipt of the crankshaft at our facility provided the crankshaft is determined to be usable.
Core Bill Backs
All returned cores must be repairable. NO core credits will be issued on broken or cracked crankshafts. On cores that are repairable, a charge back of $40.00 per welded journal (or repair) will be deducted from the core credit. Crankshafts already ground pat 0.030 will e charged for each journal repair.
Example:
The GM181 core charge is $400.00. If the returned core has three (3) spun rod journals and needs welding, a core charge back of $120.00 ($40.00 X 3) will be applicable. Therefore, a core credit of $280.00 will be issued.
On some crankshafts where cores are more plentiful, only a small core
charge is applicable. Therefore, we can pass along a savings to the customer even if the core does not meet minimum requirements.
Remanufactured Cylinder Heads
Core Policy
Cylinder
heads must be of the same type as sold and cores must be
returned prepaid to EPS’ Remanufacturing Division in Pineville, NC. Cores
muss be accompanied by a copy of the invoice or packing slip. All returned head cores must be complete and assembled.
If head cores are not assembled, a charge of $50.00 will be billed to the customer for assembly of the head. Missing parts will also be billed accordingly.
NOTE: We will issue credit for returned cores as soon as possible
and guarantee credit in fifteen (15) days from receipt provided the returned cylinder head is complete and we can immediately determine that all major components are intact.
Core Bill Backs
If a head core is received prepaid and completely intact with no cracks,
full core credit will be issued. If the core is received prepaid and complete, but is cracked and the crack can be repaired, we will issue one-half (1/2) the core credit.
