For most OEM new product development projects, an EPS development team works directly with the customer’s product and manufacturing engineers. In cases where “in-house” engineering resources aren’t available, EPS can provide these services on a turnkey basis.
One of tools frequently used during this process is 3-D modeling of CAD files. 3-D modeling allows you to zoom in from an endless variety of angles and see how the various component parts go together to form the finished product. For customers with 3-D based CAD systems, we can provide an IGES (.IGS) or STEP (.STP) file for direct import into their systems. For customers with 2-D based systems, we typically provide .DFX or .DWG files.
